Meet Our Providers

David Herndon, DO

David Herndon, DO

Dr. Herndon has a particular interest in geriatric medicine as well as sports medicine.

He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.

Dr. Herndon and his staff believe in cost-effective, evidence-based medicine, a practice which he expects to receive from his own personal physician.

He enjoys treating the entire family from children through grandparents.

Monica Esposito, DO

Monica Esposito, DO

Dr. Esposito is Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment.

Dr. Esposito received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Bradenton campus, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Florida.

Dr. Esposito is BLS, ACLS and PALS certified in addition to being NRP certified. She is a member of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Amber Duren, MSN APRN, FNP-C

Amber Duren, MSN APRN, FNP-C

Amber Duren, APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse), FNP-C (Family Nurse Practitioner-Certified), received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She has practiced since 2014, and prior to that, gained her clinical experience in Gainesville, Florida.

While completing her education, she was the recipient of numerous scholarships including the Florida Nurses Foundation District IV Florida Nurses Scholarship and the University of Florida Community Service Award. She has extensive volunteer experience throughout Gainesville and the Tampa Bay area, including providing basic health screenings for the homeless at Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa. During 2006 and 2009, Ms. Duren personally organized and directed children’s programs for approximately 100 children ages 5 through 13 in La Yaguita, Dominican Republic. She also has experience serving poor communities in Lima, Peru and special needs orphans in Tianjin, China.

She enjoys scrapbooking, gardening, running, and spending time with her family. As she says, "I am passionate about preventative medicine. Let’s keep our patients healthy in order for them to live their best lives."

 

 

Maribel Dixon, MSN APRN, FNP-C

Maribel Dixon, MSN APRN, FNP-C

Maribel Dixon, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, received her Masters of Science degree in Nursing with a specialty in family nurse practitioner from South University in Savannah, Georgia, where she also obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). While obtaining her degrees she was inducted into the prestigious Sigma Theta Tau.

Ms. Dixon has served in various nursing capacities throughout the Tampa Bay area since November 2012. She has practiced at Access Health Care Physicians since 2018. She is bilingual, proficient in both English and Spanish.

She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She and her husband have two sons. She enjoys crafting, playing the piano and spending time with her family.
