Erin Forrey, APRN, has been a member of Access Health Care Physicians? clinical team since August 2016 and she specializes in adult-geriatric primary care. Erin received her Master of Science degree in nursing from The University of Tampa. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board in both family and adult-geriatric primary care.
Ms. Forrey began practicing nursing in Florida in 2006 when she started her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), she was the valedictorian of her LPN class. In 2008, Ms. Forrey completed her associate of nursing degree and was the salutatorian of her Registered Nursing (R.N.) class. Erin also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
Erin Forrey is currently finishing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of South Florida. She maintains a 3.94 GPA which qualifies her for the elite status in Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Her final capstone project is studying the baby boomer cohort of a primary care practice, to determine whether or not screening for Hepatitis C Virus leads to early intervention and referral to treatment, and prevention of associated comorbidities compared to current practice?
Erin enjoys spending time with her family and participating in outdoor activities such as mountain biking, snow skiing, swimming, and working out at Orange Theory. She tries to always stay active and believes that exercise and physical activity are the key to health and longevity.
