Message From Amber Duren
Amber Duren, APRN, FNP-C, received both her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees from University of Florida in Gainesville. She has practiced since 2014, and prior to that, gained her clinical experience in Gainesville, Florida.
While completing her education, she was the recipient of numerous scholarships including the Florida Nurses Foundation District IV Florida Nurses Scholarship and the University of Florida Community Service Award.
She has extensive volunteer experience throughout Gainesville and the Tampa Bay area, including providing basic health screenings for the homeless at Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa. During 2006 and 2009, Ms. Duren personally organized and directed children’s programs for approximately 100 children ages 5 through 13 in La Yaguita, Dominican Republic. She also has experience serving poor communities in Lima, Peru and special needs orphans in Tianjin, China.
She enjoys scrapbooking, gardening, running, and spending time with her family. As she says, "I am passionate about preventative medicine. Let’s keep our patients healthy in order for them to live their best lives."
