Message From Charlene E. D’Acosta Burgos

Charlene E. D’Acosta Burgos, MD, joined Access Health Care Physicians, LLC, in December 2021 following an extensive career in medicine in Puerto Rico beginning in 2006. Dr. D’Acosta Burgos came to Florida in May 2017 where she has served as a primary care physician in Ocala, Williston, Clermont, Davenport, Pinellas Park, and St. Petersburg.

Dr. D’Acosta Burgos received her medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. Following that she completed internship at Hospital Metropolitano in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she served as Vice Chief Intern. During her internship she did elective rotations in anesthesiology, infectious disease, and emergency medicine. She holds a wide variety of awards during her education and practice in Puerto Rico including but not limited to life transformation program certificate, Puerto Rican representative at the NASA program Autonoma de Guadalajara, president of the Biostudy program of the Natural Science Department as Colegio Aguadilla. Also, while at Colegio Regional she served as leader in molecular biology research. She has participated on Leadership and Personal Transformation programs for over 10 years.
Dr. D’Acosta Burgos is currently enrolled in an additional MD / PHD program on Integrative and Holistic Medicine based on Quantum physics in Quantum University in Hawaii. This will be Quantum Medicine; she is also, actively working on obtaining her certification as a Quantum Medicine coach. “After being an ER physician for over 13 years and doing Primary care for almost 6, my perspective in medicine shifted as I have always understood patient's care has to be seen as a whole, as in my vision ‘Medicine goes far beyond an absence of a disease.’ My mission is to serve others and provide guidance for people to heal and have a better quality of life.”

She is a proud mother of 2 children and has played volleyball for 27 years. She is passionate about her children and going crystal quartz mining. She loves the beach and traveling.

She is bilingual in both English and Spanish.
