Message From Ian Adam
He brings with him an extensive, published, research background in organic chemistry. One in which he synthesized two new compounds that he hopes someday to have notable implications in the field of medicine. Dr. Adam also has a depth of experience in ICU and critical care and special interests in Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. Adam's research and strong educational background have created a drive and dedication to patient education. Dr. Adam actively provides free health lectures to the community, and when treating patients, he focuses on ensuring that all patients are fully educated about every aspect of their conditions, diagnostic results, and care plan. He spends extra time with patients to explain causes of the conditions, and works together with patients to create a care plan uniquely tailored to them. This personalized health care is designed to ensure the best long-term and preventative care available. Dr. Adam holds hospital-admitting privileges at North Bay Hospital and Medical Center of Trinity.
Dr. Adam was born and raised in New York City by parents of Guyanese descent. With an emphasis on clear communication, Dr. Adam also speaks fluent Spanish and welcomes new Spanish speaking patients. When not seen in his lab coat, Dr. Adam can often be found pursuing his hobbies including baseball, softball, horseback riding, traveling, weight lifting, swimming, and of course, spending time with his family.
