Jay P. Kumar, MD, FCCP (Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians) completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School and has been working as a pulmonary specialist since then. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago and an internship in internal medicine at Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School.

Dr. Kumar has a wide range of professional achievements: Fellow, American College of Physicians Fellow, American College of Chest Physicians Diplomate, American Board of Sleep Medicine Diplomate, American Board of Critical Care Medici Diplomate, American Board of Pulmonary Medicine Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine Diplomate, American College of Ethical Physicians Diplomate, American Board of Hospital Physicians Dr. Kumar is also a member of the Florida Medical Association, Hernando Medical Society, and the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

He also currently serves as the medical director of ICU and cardiopulmonary services at Bayfront Health Spring Hill Hospital and he is a member of the Quality Improvement Committee at Oak Hill Hospital.
