Message From Peter Zavitsanos
Peter Zavitsanos, MD, comes to Access Health Care from Tufts Medical Center Department of Radiation Oncology where he completed a four-year residency. Prior to his residency, he completed a transitional year internship at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts. He received both his medical degree and undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
While at Tufts Medical Center Dr. Zavitsanos was recognized as Chief Resident in Radiation Oncology from 2018 to 2019. While at the University of Florida College of Medicine he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and was recognized by the medical student admissions committee and the Pathology Honor Society and received the Medical Guild Merit Award. Dr. Zavitsanos is proficient in both English and Spanish. He has conducted research in the areas of Breast cancer, SBRT, thyroid cancer, and endometrial cancer.
Dr. Zavitsanos is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society.
Dr. Zavitsanos and his family enjoy traveling, going to the beach, swimming and playing with Rooney, their nine-year-old Greyhound mix, which they rescued when she was three months old.
