Education Meets Experience

Access Health Care Physicians is proud to introduce Nabeel Hamoui, MD. Born and raised in Hernando County, Dr. Hamoui completed residencies in both Diagnostic Radiology and Urology as well as a fellowship in Interventional Radiology, making him one of only two people in the world with such dual training. Dr. Hamoui lived in Chicago for 12 years and completed all his training at Northwest Memorial Hospital as well as earning his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. He then came back to join his father, Dr. Mohammed Nazir Hamoui, and brother, Dr. Omar Hamoui, in their practice of providing urological care. Together, they have accumulated over 50 years’ experience.

Dr. Nabeel Hamoui realizes the benefits of having the support of his father and brother. The close-knit team discusses everything, utilizing the accumulation of knowledge they all have together. “My father has seen it all and experience is extremely relevant in guiding patients. I always have a team to bounce ideas off of.” Beside this level of experience, they offer everything under one roof for urology care from start to finish. His radiology experience helps patients avoid unnecessary imaging and expenses because he knows what he is looking for and how to construct plans of treatment from diagnostic imaging others are not as familiar with. “In many ways this takes out the middle man, making patients safer with me.” And if a surgery is needed, Dr. Nabeel Hamoui offers robotic surgery, this allowing patients to avoid having to go outside the county to receive such treatment. Robotic surgery offers Dr. Hamoui a clearer view during the surgery, his patient experience smaller incisions and less blood loss which leads to better, faster recoveries.

He is approachable and down to earth, friendly and loves learning about his patients. “I derive pleasure in talking to my patients and getting to know them, but I will be direct because I always want them to know the truth.” Dr. Nabeel Hamoui explains how you should always have that new kid hunger to learn with the old doc knowledge. “You should always be in day one mode wanting to learn more.” In looking at the exceeded expectations of his patients, it’s clear to see that this way of thinking he so strongly encompasses has been making a positive difference in so many people’s lives. On Dr. Hamoui’s days off, he enjoys physical activities such as working out at the gym, playing basketball and tennis, traveling and, above all else, being a father and a husband.
