Staff Members of Access Health Care participated in a “People Helping People” event, where volunteers cooked free meals for the community.
The event was open to anyone seeking a meal and was held on November 26.
Volunteers assisted with serving a meal, worked as servers (wait staff) and assisted in distribution of bread items to all guests. Each employee had two tables of guests to serve drinks, salads, entree and dessert. Volunteers also assisted with cleaning up their assigned tables.
Access members who took part in the event were: Kendra Wilson, April Reid, Mirza Baig, Sarah Baig, Marya Baig and Marta Colon. Also participating in the event were community members Marie Tanaka and Pat Baig, and Oak Hill employee Lynn Eckart.
In the end, all employees had a wonderful time helping out the community and will be happy to do it again.
