Dr. Manjusri Vennamaneni, or D. V as she is known by patients, has long been one of the most involved doctors at Access. As Chief Medical Director, she contributes in any way possible to the patients as well as Access. This includes helping the referral department, overseeing the quality department, utilization management, care coordination, EMR implementations. In addition, she works with health plans and also assists patients closely in the plans’ requirements.
Dr. V enjoys helping the patients in every way possible to assure that patients are receiving the best possible care at all levels. Her ultimate goal is to keep patients out of the hospital as much as possible and to help provide a healthy home environment as well.
This drive of hers is the reason why her office was the first in Hernando County to receive the coveted Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). And just recently, her office also received diabetic program recognition by the NCQA, leading the way in Access’s quest for quality.
Dr. V feels that it is important for her to offer her guidance in every department possible as it is this that increases her outreach to people. From the time she was a little girl, Dr. Manjusri has wanted to help people as much as she could.
With no other doctors in her family, she always had a desire to heal others. Dr. Manjusri values the qualities of being flexible, available, knowledgeable, and having the willingness to constantly learn. She is always reading and trying to learn as much as she can to be able to give better quality care. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, watching movies, her 12-year-old lab and spending time with her son.
Access is extremely proud to have a jewel like her to lead the way and will always look up to Dr. Manjusri as our hero.
